The Explorers of the Moreton Bay District 1770-1830

The Moreton Bay District, within a radius of 70 miles of Brisbane, attracted a number of Australia’s greatest explorers, including Cook, Flinders, Oxley, Cunningham, Lockyer, and Logan and by 1830 the District had been mapped. J G Steele has collected the original manuscripts of private journals, field books, official reports, and letters of the explorers who made the discoveries in the Moreton Bay District between 1770 and 1830.
