Australia has a fossil record which extends back to the oldest recorded evidence of life. While life was confined to the seas, The Plant Kingdom was represented by Algae. Discovering the coservatism of plants and the incredible antiquity of the Clubmosses, Horsetails, Ferns, Conifers and Cycads, which comprise fossil floras and remain little changed today, gives us a new perspective.
