Cockawun & Cockatoo

Cockawun and Cockatoo are given to Arthur to rear after his uncle rescues them as nestlings, from the building site of the first Parliament House in Canberra. Arthur grows up with these birds, caring for them when he and his family move from the city up to a farm in the mountains. Cockatoo soon flies away with her own kind, but Cockawun is a stayer.
