Gould’s Book of Fish is a historical fiction novel based on the history of the Macquarie Harbour Penal Station on the West Coast of Tasmania. It is also of importance in the understanding of the context of Convicts on the West Coast of Tasmania through the life of the convict and artist William Buelow Gould.
