This book is a collaboration between a distinguished Russian astronomer and then up-and-coming Harvard professor Sagan, his first book. The first popular modern discussion of the origin of the universe, the evolution of the planets and stars and the development of intelligence and its organization. A very scarce title which laid the groundwork for all of Sagan’s subsequent books.
