Margaret Preston was Australia’s most innovative modernist because she drew on Asian Western and Aboriginal principles motifs and techniques, when so many of her contemporaries clung to British traditons or opted for American trends. This is the first monograph to look at her life and art in detail (1890s -1963). Includes a CD-ROM.
