Book Condition. The near fine quarter-bound grey-blue cloth boards are structurally sound with sharp corners. There is minor, typical rubbing to the inside of the board edges. The text block, maps, and color illustrations by Alan Lee are completely clean, bright, and unmarked. There are no inscriptions, owner names, foxing, or turned corners. The slipcase is structurally sturdy, showing only light surface shelf wear consistent with age. The gilt stamped motif on the front cover and slipcase remains bright and unfaded.
