The Crocodile

This novel has two central themes. One deals with Hoira’s vengeance on the sorcerers who caused his wife to be taken by a crocodile. The other withhis lack of comprehension of the thought processes of the Europeans, particularly the brutal Angau officers under whom he served as a carrier during the war.
