The Silver City

The Silver City is a 1956 memoir and historical piece written by Ion Idriess. It was based on Idriess’ experiences of growing up in Broken Hill. It is also a general history of the city. Signed ‘To Horrie Lockley, Cheerio, And jolly good times to you.’ Ion Idriess 1957, on the title page.

Book Condition: Very good hardcover minus dust jacket. Minor wear, staining and discolouration to the red textured boards. The maps on front and back pastedowns and endpapers are unmarked and clean. Some minor foxing to the half-title page and the following book list page and adjoining page. The photographic plates are clean and unmarked and the main text is clean and unmarked. The text block edges are mildly darkened from age.
