We took their orders and are dead. An anti-war anthology. Edited by Shirley Cass, Ros Cheney, David Malouf and Michael Wilding
$75.00
The prose and verse in this anthology cover a wide range of Australian writing. The writers themselves span three generations and represent the whole spectrum of political opinion. But they come together here under a single banner. Which is an opposition to the Vietnam war and to Australia’s involvement in it. Not all of the writing refers directly to Vietnam, but all of it springs from a concern that makes opposition to the war, and all it stands for, a natural corollary of what the writers have to say. A scarce edition.
Publisher: Ure Smith
Date Published: 1971 (1st Ed.)
Book Condition: Good hardcover with minor surface, edge wear and bumping to boards. Some spotting to text block edges. Some minor spotting to the pastedowns and endpapers and along the lower edge of the first half a dozen pages. The book has been exposed to moisture at some stage in the past which has left some minor warping to the text throughout the book. Otherwise, the pages have no marks or annotations and the book is still a very readable copy.
