Albert Namatjira, 1902-1959

Albert Namatjira was the first Australian aborigine to be recognized nationally and internationally as an artist. The tibal land of his people, the Western Arandaencopassed the well -wateredexpanse of plain and sandhill between the Western MacDonell Ranges in the north and the Krichauff Ranges in the south. He is famous for his watercolours.
